PDF compatibility and editor limits
SunPDF works in a modern browser with WebAssembly support. Tool pages accept PDF files up to 50 MB each, and the editor can add PNG or JPEG images.
Editable PDF content
Text can be corrected when it exists as an editable object and the editor can use or replace its font. Images and some graphic objects can be moved. Pages can be added, removed, reordered, or merged when the document allows the operation.
Files that need extra checking
A scan usually contains an image instead of editable text. Flattened PDFs, permission-protected files, encrypted files, and documents built from complex nested objects can limit some operations. SunPDF reports the limit it detects.
- Read each page after changing text
- Check substituted fonts and special characters
- Verify page order and rotation
- Open the exported file in another reader before sending it
Signatures
A visual signature adds the appearance of a signature to the document. A digital signature uses a certificate and can verify file integrity. Use the method requested by the recipient and inspect the result after export.
