## Limits to know

A watermark does not securely redact information or prevent removal. Changing an already signed PDF can invalidate its digital signature.

## When to use this tool

A subtle Draft or Confidential label can cover every page, while an opaque logo needs a position that does not hide text.

## How to check the result

Review targeted and untargeted pages, check contrast and readability, and make sure no information was unintentionally obscured.

## Local processing and privacy
